The HZT EFP to Fiber Converter System is a professional, high-integration fiber optic transmission solution developed and manufactured by HZT Technology. It is specifically engineered to transform compatible cameras, primarily the Blackmagic URSA G2 series, into powerful production units for live and remote broadcast.
At its core, the system replaces a cumbersome array of separate cables with a single, robust SMPTE 311M hybrid fiber optic cable. This innovative approach seamlessly combines power delivery, ultra-high-definition video transmission, and bidirectional data/control communication over one lightweight link. The system consists of two key components: a compact Camera Adapter with a V-lock mounting plate that attaches directly to the camera, and a rack-mountable 1U Base Station for the control room or OB van. This setup establishes two critical, studio-quality signal paths:
Uplink: 1 channel of 12G-SDI from the camera to the rack, carrying the pristine main program feed.
Downlink: 1 channel of 12G-SDI return from the rack to the camera, which is uniquely embedded with camera control signals, tally information, and auxiliary data.
